What is Photography to me?Well its been a seriously long time since I updated my notes so here goes.
I have reciently become the proud parent of a Canon EOS 20D. WOW
Until now I have been a purely digital boy working with a Sony digital. One of my friends had received his Canon gift from heaven about a year ago and needless to say I was impressed. So when a new staff member got hold of a Canon Rebel I thought it was high time that I got myself in line with the general trend of things.
I ordered my camera from BHPhotoVideo.com. They are very friendly and I would recommend them with no problems. To tell the truth I was very concerned about the international ordering system but my fears were soon put to rest when I received this large box.
Well it’s been a few weeks now and from what I have seen I am very impressed. Even my friends don’t mind so much now that I am ‘busy’ – grin. But once the bug had bitten, I am sure you will agree, there is little to hold back the creative spirit that yearns to be free. Spending a whole day outdoors now holds all sorts of interest for me especially when I can come back with professional quality photographs.
But lets face facts. I loved my old Sony and think that everyone should start somewhere, even if it is with a small cheap and nasty camera. You will soon know weather there is a photograph in you or not.
WHAT IS A PHOTOGRAPH TO ME?
A photograph is only a small amount of what actually happened there. Each image in a magazine, regardless of if it is good or bad, has an actual location and time. Each of these places existed when that image was captured. The world is such a large place that I feel saddened for people that don’t want to explore it. Photography for me being able to experience and capture those moments and to bring home a little present for everyone to share.
Good luck on your travels and have a great time taking the photographs that remind you of the great times you have there.

this photo is taken in metro tunnel in copenhagen, WHILE driving in the train. personally, i think there is too much grain, but it was the best i could get with my camera (i was not even prepared to take photos that day. had my camera with me, and got the chance to sit in the front of the window - yes, there is even a window in front of me, that you can't see: that is one of the things i am satisfied with!).
it's one of those trains without the driver, so you get that wonderfull feeling of controling the drive.
